03 September 2008: Visit at Klöcker Bros.

About 20 participants followed the invitation of regional authority “Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe”

Last Saturday, about 20 participants followed the invitation of the regional authority ”Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe” in view of a bicycle tour on the subject of industrial history across the rural district of Borken. Headed by Dr. Hermann Josef Stenkamp, the group visited Klöcker Bros. as well.

After a detailed overview on the long standing development of the company, the visitors focused on the different subjects that were talked about within the scope of a guided tour through the plant. It was illustrated that Klöcker concentrates less on the clothing industry but rather on technical textiles and that the total service range moreover widely exceeds the textile sector today contrary to the general belief.

The afternoon was topped off by a visit of the newly-arranged tool development and construction department on the occasion of which the visitors could receive an impression of the modern machinery being in use at Klöcker Bros.

Both visitors and the host company found the event to be successful.
